1/43rd scale Custom Ferrari 340MM SCCA Race Car

 

Note:


Built with an old FDS white metal kit from the late 1970's. 

 

When first bought, the kit was put on the shelf because or the amount of work to correct & properly detail the Ferrari was something I didn't want to deal with!  Years later, after getting a crazy idea, it recently came off the shelf.

  •  bought the Ford Escort kit at the swap meet for $1.
  • Built the back of the car, open door for reack all the eggs!

1/18th scale Jeep Girl

 

Note:

  • Jeep repainted in acrylics, girl repainted in oils, new seat and spare tire covers 
  • Filling the interior with "gone for the weekend" goodies 
  • Wheels cut down to fit the mud tracks. Woodland scenics and future for wetlook mud for base

Note:

  • The Woodie has real wood in the bed. 
  • Both figures are painted in oils, even the Hawaiian shirt and Rat Fink.
  • ​​Check for clams under the Woodie. Real 6 pack plastic for the cans. Sand on base from Cancun.

1/24th scale Drag Strip Diorama

Note:

  • Custom built dragstrip with sandpaper “asphalt” with rubber streaks from dragsters.

    Custom “Christmas Tree”starting lights. Starting line, concrete guard rails with sponsor decals and grandstands. Spectator cars parked against the guard rails. 

    AMT T V camera and dragster driver repainted as Jon, the channel 3 TV commentator. A Revell Mickey Thompson model is being interviewed.

Note:

  • This Edsel was in my neighborhood, in an old car shed
  • I used enamels, acrylics, oils, Dulcote spray and chalks to achieve the appearance
  • This car has now been moved to Campbell River on Van.Island to become "Lawn Art", not restorable.
